Biography

   

Julie Marcombes was born in 1974 in the town of Bourges, located in the Cher department of France.She grew up in the Allier region up to the age of 14 than she moved to Paris continuing her studies.

Influenced by the artistic talents among her family members, she became fascinated by art and a fervent admirer of Rodin, Camille Claudel and Cocteau.

     
         
On turning 18, she took hotel management training, which led her eight years later into the field of advertising and the media, an activity she decided to pursue in Switzerland.

During a trip to Vietnam the following year, she discovered a passion for working with earth, and upon her return took classes in pottery and sculpture.

 As she gradually began to master various techniques, she progressively asserted her style that invites the observer into a universe characterised by a blend of real and imaginary elements.
